In New York for the screening of her latest film The Whistleblower, Rachel Weisz left no doubt as to who was the film's star, showing off her perfect English rose complexion in a bright red Valentino dress from the 2012 resort collection. Elsewhere in the city, Olivia Palermo turned heads in a striking DKNY maxi dress - managing to hit both the colour-blocking and pleat trends in one - while in LA, Lady Gaga wore a vintage, electric blue Thierry Mugler skirt suit with a provocative twist.
Maxi dresses were also high on the style agenda this week. Amber Le Bon raided her mother's wardrobe for her floral number, while Miranda Kerr, Lara Bohinc (in Alexander McQueen), Jessica Szohr, Vanessa Hudgens and Nicola Roberts (in Topshop Unique) were also spotted wearing the bohemian summer look.
