Dollar Tree Fun & Finds!

I thought I would do some quick videos at what you can find by visiting your closest Dollar Tree for some great bargains. I hope you like the finds & fun!

So we started our Saturday first going to eat at Ana's Cafe on Toyon Ave. It's on the other side of San Jose, but we don't care lol. The food is always fresh, delicious and the flour tortillas are homemade. I love going for the Chorizo, eggs & papas. The chorizo (sausage) is mixed in with egg. It's freakin' fabulous.. if you've never had it.. GET IT. But I recommend getting it there!

We used to like to go to Casa Vicky's downtown but they really have fallen off. Plus no matter how many times I tell them NO BEANS, they always put them in my food. Come on.. really? always happens! lol. Anyway.. on to walmart. Here you see can Tulio and my moms head lol. You can hear her screamin' to tell my Grandma to put on the Handicap parking card.

We decided on going to Walmart that Saturday since my mother needed to pick up a few things and I needed stuff for our trip. The first thing I needed was to find a couple of affordable cute shirts for my trip. Of course the Walmart Plus sized section there was nothing to pick from. Honestly, if I ever become a billionaire I'm starting a affordable Plus sized clothing store that doesn't make you look like a mom or a goth girl for $50 bucks a shirt. I'm tired of them hating on the big girls!

I did find this really cool hat that Tulio ended up wearing to Disneyland California Adventure! He loves movies and comic art so this was right up our alley. The colors are awesome too!

Here's the picture I promised! This was at California Adventure after a rainy day! His hat got wet but the material made it dry off super fast! he loved it! A lot of people commented on his hat at the park that day too!

I see that there is a Dollar Tree right next door so Tulio and I walked over to see some good finds. So we arrive at Dollar Tree! Milpitas, McCarthy Ranch has a very clean and well stocked store.

It's funny how I say it's clean and you can see I walk into a thousands of boxes in the front of the store lol. I don't blame them. At least they were movin' it on out and stocked up the aisles on what I needed lol. Still the store was in great shape. I've been to many a Dollar store and I can tell you one thing, Dollar stores are not known for clean aisles lol.. you can put Ross stores into that as well.

I LOVED the selection they had at this Dollar Tree! They had lip glosses to blushes to lipstick to nail polish. It was great!! Most of the items I've previously bought or tried sooo I tried to keep it minimal to things I really wanted to try. Take a look at the great selection!

After looking around for items I had my small haul! I wanted to try out the LA Colors Nail polishes (which I LOVE!) and the Maybelline Bronzer & Blush. I haven't tried the lip pencil & lipgloss as of yet. Though the razors I got were great. I love them for a quick brow edging. I haven't used the LA Colors jumbo all over stick yet either. I was happy with my small haul, and who says you can't get great products for a dollar!?

Please let me know if you enjoy hitting up your local dollar stores for hauls! I would love to know your likes and dislikes on products you find at these stores! I hope you liked these quick little videos to show you what we did as a family on a early morning Saturday

Review & Swatches Motives Cosmetics by Loren Ridinger

I was recently contacted by Thao on Facebook regarding if I heard of Motives Cosmetics. I have never heard of the company and was very curious after visiting the website she provided. She proceeded then to give me the wonderful chance to try and review Motives cosmetics. I told her that I always give honest reviews, and she proceeded to tell me "You will find that the quality of the makeup is comparable to Chanel but the prices are in line with Nars and MAC. I'm sure you will have fun with it."

Packaging
I received my package, and as you can see by the pictures below, I was very excited & honored to receive so many products to try. Honestly, when I opened the package I could not get over how beautiful the packaging was and how well it was made. I'm never the one to buy makeup because of packaging, but as a added bonus I was quite pleased. The products are very well made, with a frosted top and black bottom package. When you buy MAC, Urban Decay or other high end products, they don't feel .. well made at all, almost plastic, and very easy to break. When you use this line, you feel like you paid for what you get. Seriously, I feel very special when I use these, they feel so expensive!

Blushes, Loose Powder & Creme eyeshadow

Blushes retails for $13.50
The blushes are awesome. I will probably say awesome a lot in this review but honestly these products are amazing!! The blushes are extremely soft & easy to use. Highly pigmented and are easily picked up with my blush brush. I'm obsessed with "Summer Fun" and use it almost everyday! It really is the perfect color. I've been using them on some of my clients, and they blend well to every skin tone! It really gives a airbrush feeling to the cheeks.

Creme Eyeshadow retails for $15.75
This creme shadow is perfect for a base, or left alone for a nice day time look. It has flecks of gold and has this golden duo base that is gorgeous on the lid. It's extremely soft, and applies & sets quickly. I use this while applying Motives eye shadows to give the shadows a long lasting stay & add additional sparkle to the shadow look.

Loose Powder retails for $21.00
Make up Forever makes a HD powder that retails for $35.00. THIS is it's twin, for much much less! I enjoy this because unlike the HD powder, this sets on my face without the white powdery finish. This is perfect for setting your foundation and giving you a matte feeling all day. I was very scared to use this since my HD powder was recommended so highly and it sucked! lol but this worked out so good for me and I haven't had a powder look since.

Pressed Eye Shadows
Eye shadows retails for $12.50
WOOO! I was so excited to try them. As soon as I opened them up and swatched them I had to use them right away. They are so extremely pigmented I was shocked! Soft and ranging from matte to lustre these look awesome on the lid. Seriously, these are so comparable to MAC eye shadows, I have a hard time distinguishing between the both as in quality. I will be posting looks regarding these, because since I got them I've been using them constantly. I will be seriously buying more of these shadows when I get the chance.

Eyeliner, Mascara, Lip Liner, Lipstick & Lip Gloss
Mascara retails for $16.95
Mascara gives a very natural look. Not as good as my Voluminous, but I like more of a black & thicker feeling to my lashes. But if your looking for a nice natural look to your lashes, then this is it! My lashes are very long but this product works well on them to seperate.

Lip Gloss $10.50
This lip gloss is very nice. Very juicy without feeling sticky which I was worried about. I stay away from a lot of MAC lip glosses due to the sticky-ness feeling. But these glide on very well. Very pigmented & shiny, they last very long over lipstick and liner.

Lip Liner $14.00
Very comparable to other high end liners, they glide on with ease. Pigmented and very easy to use. They are very smooth, and do not drag the lip at all.

Eyeliner retails for $14.00
WOO!! I LOVE THIS KHOL LINER. SOOO creamy and applicable, I use this liner almost every day as well. I love this coffee color liner, it applies and stays all day. I use on my waterline and on my lashline as well. It comes in a nice range of colors as well.

Lipstick $14.00
I WILL be ordering more of these guys lol. WOW the lipsticks are amazing. She sent the most beautiful colors and perfect for my skin tone. They are smooth and range from matte to slight sparkle. Paired with the blushes they look amazing on any skin tone. I used on several bridesmaids already that said they lasted all through the wedding! I highly recommend these.

Liquid Powder, Pressed Powder & Concealers
Liquid Powder retails for $24.00
This has changed my life!! This liquid foundation is untraceable on the skin! Seriously, I was very excited with this liquid foundation. I loved that it's in a squeeze tube for easy application right onto the face. I have no need for face primer, because it's included! It also has SPF 15 included. This liquid does not set in lines like Makeup Forever HD foundation did for me. I don't have many lines but for some reason that foundation did that to me. From now on I am going to be getting this for myself and my clients.. it provides awesome coverage with staying power.

Dual Perfection Powder retails for $20.00
Okay this is awesome <--see lol This powder you can use wet or dry! It sets awesome like MAC's studio fix without the heavy price tag or the breakouts you get from the MAC powder lol. This is great product for those who don't want to use liquid and still have coverage.

Photo Finish Pressed Powder retails for $24.00

I've used this on several photos with clients and the coverage is perfection over liquid foundation. I use this along with the liquid powder foundation and have soo many compliments on my skin.
